Accounting & Advisory
Our accountants have a thorough knowledge of tax laws with the experience to help individuals pay no more tax than is necessary. We provide a range of reports and personal financial administration for individuals and self-managed super funds.
How can we help you?
Most of us are required to prepare and lodge personal tax returns each year. There is a compliance requirement to satisfy taxation laws, but there is also a skill in ensuring that the right amount of tax, and no more than is necessary, is paid.
If the ATO decides to investigate a tax matter, we will manage the process professionally to ensure the best outcome.
Capital Gains Tax
The sale of a business and personal assets can result in significant capital gains tax being payable. We can advise on the proper structuring and ownership of assets, (especially when setting up a business), as well as the careful consideration of the timing and method of selling those assets (especially when selling a business) which can result in considerable savings.
Self-Managed Super Funds
If you have a large superannuation balance, specific investment needs or just a desire to have more control over your investments, you may want to consider a Self-Managed Super Fund (SMSF).
SMSFs are increasingly popular with Australians looking to build wealth for their retirement. However, as well as extra freedom, the ATO has added extra responsibility, which is where we can help.
Our superannuation specialists can provide a complete SMSF service, from set-up and contributions to investments and strategic planning, accounting, auditing and compliance.
Self-managed super funds require an annual audit as an ATO requirement. Our registered SMSF auditors add value to this by providing suggestions to the management which may improve controls and processes.
Our audit services are provided through Asparq Audit & Assurance Pty Ltd which is an Authorised Audit Company under the Corporations Act 2001.
Personal Financial Administration
Paying bills and maintaining adequate records for tax purposes can be an unwanted burden, especially for the time-poor or for elderly people who can no longer manage their financial affairs with ease.
We offer both a limited and a full service to administer personal financial affairs. This may include the payment of personal bills, acting as a mail house for the receipt, processing incoming mail, and record keeping. Through regular communication, we ensure that our clients are kept up to date and are consulted when necessary.
Our extensive knowledge is often called upon to provide expert reports that are used in court proceedings. We can provide expert reports for divorces, business breakdowns and disputes concerning deceased estates.
As well as directly helping clients to resolve difficult disputes, we are familiar with relevant court and evidence rules, and can also provide litigation support to legal professionals.
